Speak Up at Home: Parent Power Sessions (Summer 2026)
Crusading Outreach Ministry Inc. dba More Than Words ARB™ is preparing to launch a Summer 2026 series that equips parents and guardians of teens and young adults with practical tools to strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and build supportive home environments.

Who Should Attend?
Parents, guardians, and caregivers of teens and young adults (approx. ages 13–24) in Hampton, Newport News, and surrounding Hampton Roads communities.

What you’ll receive
This program includes six stand-alone Parent Power Sessions (attend any session—no prior sessions required), plus two community events.
Each participant will receive a Parent Toolkit (Workbook + Guided Journal) with practical tools you can use immediately at home.

Session Topics
Topics include
- Communication tools that work under stress
- De-escalation & calming strategies
- Healthy boundaries and accountability
- Supporting teens through social pressure, bullying, and isolation
- Creating a Home Support Plan
- Building consistency at home (even when life is busy)
Flexible Attendance
No problem. Each session stands alone, and you can join at any point. We’ll also offer an optional online continuity option so families can stay connected.
Community Partners
Community-supported
We will collaborate with community partners such as Sentara Health and other local organizations to support resource navigation, referrals, and select guest education.
