Crusading Outreach Ministry, Inc is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization established in December of 1992. We serve and partner with various organizations that making a difference in the Hampton Roads community, such as the Waldo Scott Center, Pinecroft Seniors & Disabled Residents, Striving Women, Julius Conn and Park Place Baptist Church.
Mission Statement:
To positively impact the lives of those in need - including the homeless, veterans, economically disadvantaged citizens, seniors, children and individuals with disabilities - by offering transformational, instructional programs that equip individuals to live their best lives now.
Programs We Offer:
ACT Raising Safe Kids: 8-week program focused on educating parents, and other adults who raise and care for young children, to create early environments that protect them from violence.
Community Garden (Park Place Hampton VA): improving people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for neighborhood and community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, beautifying neighborhoods, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.
More Than Words ARB: empowers individuals through the transformative power of words. This program, founded by Alesha R. Brown (Chief Operating Officer), promotes entrepreneurship, advocacy, and personal expression.
Emergency Disaster and Food Pantry: Food sustenance as needed.
Let's Celebrate: We increase self esteem through positive affirmation and recognition of children's birthdays in distressed communities.
Striving Women: provides life and job training skills, empowerment and life management skills for disadvantaged women who struggle with work life balance.
Ready to Present: provides life and job training skills, empowerment and life management skills for disadvantaged citizens who struggle with work life balance.
Operation Extend a Hand: We distribute nutritional meals and personal hygiene and other resources to the homeless, underprivileged seniors, disabled citizens.
The Recovery Process (NY): A program designed for people dealing with anxiety surrounding their lives and or severe mental illnesses.
